Should I bring photo props?

short answer: If there are things that help tell your story absolutely! (ie instruments, letterman jackets, sports gear, SBO sweater/jacket, flowers, bicycles, art, etc….make it about who you are!)

Whether or not you should bring photo props to your senior session is up to you. There are pros and cons to both bringing and not bringing props.

Pros of bringing props:

  • Props can add a touch of fun and personality to your photos.

  • They can help you to relax and be more comfortable in front of the camera.

  • They can help to create a more dynamic and interesting photo shoot.

Cons of bringing props:

  • Props can be distracting and take away from the focus of your photos.

  • They can be bulky and difficult to carry around.

  • They can be expensive.

If you decide to bring props to your senior session, it is important to choose props that are appropriate for your personality and style. You should also make sure that the props are not too large or heavy, and that they will not be damaged during the photo shoot.

Here are some ideas for props that you might want to consider bringing to your senior session:

  • Graduation caps and tassels

  • Musical instruments

  • Sports equipment

  • Books

  • Flowers

  • Animals (if you have a pet)

  • Signs with your name or graduation year

No matter what props you choose, make sure that they are something that you will enjoy using and that they will help you to create photos that you will love for years to come.

With a little creativity, you can use props at your senior session to create senior photos that are both unique and memorable.

I am a feisty, fun, driven artist with a fierce loyalty to family and friends. I love the Crossfit and the outdoors, but I balance that love with a love of ice cream and Netflix (everything needs balance). My job is the best job around and fabulous hubby and four kids are my biggest cheerleaders. I do all I do for them, just trying to get by like the rest of the world. I love Jesus, and find that love through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I don’t like drama, public speaking or moody teenagers. That’s me in a nutshell…oh and cheese is the best part of life!
